RICKETTS & ASSOCIATES (Anguilla) LTD is a consulting firm founded in 1978 and dedicated to the hospitality industry and registered in Anguilla, British West Indies. They have consulted with governments, hotels, villas and various other projects throughout the Caribbean. The firm offers product concept development, pre opening project management, hotel and villa construction management, hotel and villa management, food and beverage management, public relations, sales and marketing in the US, UK, Europe and South America; interior design and planning.

 

ANGUILLA LUXURY COLLECTION

This is a collection of high end Villas, estates and enclaves on the Island of Anguilla ranging from one bedroom to 20 bedrooms.   We offer the highest standard of service because of our many years of experience in the five star hotel businesses.    Nothing is too much trouble for our well trained manager and his concierge department who are available 24/7.  Our villas are either on a beach or cove, on the water or overlooking the water and are spread over different parts of the island.

 

ANGUILLA AFFORDABLE COLLECTION

This collection is especially for those people who in this new World Order are looking to spend a little less money but still be able to enjoy a high standard of accommodation and service.   These villas range from 1 – 7 bedrooms and are either on a beach or cove, on the water or overlooking the water and are spread over different parts of the island.

 These are villas, estates and enclaves throughout Anguilla that we can strongly recommend and we can help you make a booking at any of them.  These run from the ultra luxury estates with 10+ bedrooms on the beach to lovely West Indian homes nestled in the hills with glorious views of the rising or setting sun.   As the principals of the company have lived and worked on Anguilla for over 25 years we are very knowledgeable about every nook and cranny on the island.   This comes in useful when clients give us a certain criteria of what they are looking for,  and because of our long experience on Anguilla we are able to come up with what they require.   

ZaZAA BOUTiQUES

A collection of eclectic boutiques (including Turkish Delights) on the island of Anguilla stretching from East to West.  Selling clothing (beach, casual and elegant), accessories, jewellery, art, books, Anguilla memories and so much more from such diverse countries as Africa, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, France, St. Barts,  St. Maarten,  the UK and the US and, of course, Anguilla..  Some of the shops are open daily including public holidays.

Robin Ricketts
CEO

Robin Ricketts is a classically trained hotelier with 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Amongst his most important accomplishments include the development of the exclusive five star hotels of Cap Juluca and Malliouhana in Anguilla for which he acted as co-developer. In both projects Mr. Ricketts was instrumental in selecting the sites, developing the concept, raising the capital, and negotiating with local authorities. Additional responsibilities along with the day to day running of the hotels included, procuring the land, construction liaison, the hiring and training of the hotel staff, the implementation of operational policies, and oversight of the sales and marketing program. Malliouhana was the trendsetter on Anguilla and spearheaded the up market image that Anguilla still retains today. Both Cap Juluca and Malliouhana have continued to rank in the top ten list of Caribbean hotels since their openings. Amongst the accolades received by Cap Juluca over the years include No 1 Hotel in the Caribbean 2003 and 2004, World's Best awards, Travel & Leisure; Top Caribbean Hotel 2004 Zagats Survey; Gold List 2004-07 Conde Nast Traveler; 500 Top Hotel in the World 2004-07, Travel & Leisure; No. 1 Resort in the Caribbean 2003, Readers Choice Awards, Conde Nast Traveler; Top 20 Resorts/Hotels in the World 2003, Conde Nast Traveler; Best Caribbean Hotel 2003-09, Hideaway Report Readers Choice survey; Top Small Hotel in the Caribbean - 2003, Caribbean Travel & Life. Cap Juluca is a member of Leading Small Hotels of the World.


Robin, with his wife, retains a small shareholding in Malliouhana Hotel and sat on the Management Board of Cap Juluca until February 2007, when he left due to the imminent sale of the hotel and the end of his long standing contract with the property.


Robin was also the mastermind behind the conversion of the Grace Bay Club, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands from a failing condominium development in the early 1990's to one of the most highly regarded hotel's of the region. Grace Bay Club was recently listed in Conde Nast's top ten hotels of the Caribbean, and brought a level of sophistication that set the standard for future developments in Providenciales.


Robin, through his consulting company Ricketts & Associates (Anguilla) Ltd, is an advisor to governments, developers, hoteliers and villas throughout the Caribbean. The company, in their capacity of Caribbean specialists, was approached by Trump International in 2001 to consult for them on Donald Trump's future involvement on Canouan Island, in the Grenadines. Ricketts & Associates (Anguilla) Ltd., involvement in Canouan Island through its Italian owners CRD Limited, ended in 2008. Robin is a member of the prestigious Cayuga Hospitality Advisors.


Ricketts & Associates (Anguilla) Ltd. have been involved with the development, management and sales, marketing and public relations of villa properties on Anguilla for the last twenty six years. Malliouhana had the island's first two real villas on the beach at Meads Bay when they opened in 1981/82.


Robin Ricketts hotel background includes stints at the Dorchester and the Inn on the Park - Four Seasons in London, the Meurice in Paris, and the Mandarin in Hong Kong. His Caribbean experience, of well over 25 years, encompasses several operational positions in Aruba, Bonaire, Martinique and the Bahamas, as well as Anguilla and the Turks and Caicos Island, as described above.


A Native of England and raised in China, Robin Ricketts received his Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.

Sue Ricketts
Public Relation Manager

Sue Ricketts business background is in advertising, public relations, personnel consulting and retailing. She first applied her business skills in a hospitality environment in 1976 when she worked on the renovation and reopening of the Flamingo Beach hotel in Bonaire owned by her American Lawyer. Here she handled Public Relations, Sales and Marketing, Front of the House and Reservations. Subsequently, she moved with her husband Robin to Anguilla to co-develop Malliouhana and then Cap Juluca. In both instances, she was responsible for Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Public Relations, Reservations, and Guest Relations. She additionally set up and organized the housekeeping and front office departments and the training of local managers. She was also involved in the opening, operation and marketing of the Grace Bay Club in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. At present she is running together with her husband Robin, Ricketts & Associates (Anguilla) Ltd., undertaking Hotel and Villa management together with sales and marketing. This includes a collection of luxurious private villas and estates, a collection of Affordable villas and two boutique hotels amongst its present clients. She handled the worldwide sales and marketing and the overseeing of the public relations of Cap Juluca, Anguilla up until February 2007 when she left due to the imminent sale of the hotel and the end of a long standing contract.


Since 2008 the Ricketts have opened three ecletic boutiques on the island of Anguilla, ZaZAA Boutiques at Shoal Bay East and Lower South Hill, West End Road and Turkish Delights at Meads Bay. These stock clothing, accessories, jewellery, art, books, Anguilla Memories, sundries and so much more with items from around the world.


Sue Ricketts, born and educated in England, attended summer school at the Cornell Hotel School in the USA. She has access to extensive press contacts in the United States and the UK, as well as very close relationships with travel agents and tour and villa operators in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Continental Eur

Frank Pierce

Frank Pierce began his hotel career at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas while attending The University of Nevada. He has over 25 years experience in hotel operations and Sales & Marketing. Frank has been employed through the years with Raffles/Fairmont Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Noble House Hotels, Destination Hotels & Resorts and privately held Resort properties in the US and the Caribbean. He has held numerous management positions which have included Front Office and Reservations Manager, Catering & Convention Services Manager, Director of Catering & Conference Services, Sales Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing. His most recent position was with Raffles Resort Canouan Island where he held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing before deciding to rejoin Robin and Sue Ricketts with Ricketts & Associates and Anacaona Boutique Hotel as their Director of Sales. Frank had previously been with the Ricketts for 7 years as the Associate Director of Sales for Cap Juluca, Anguilla and decided to rejoin them when they decided to expand the portfolio of Ricketts and Associates and open Anacaona.

Kenroy Herbert
Villa Manager and Personal Concierge

Kenroy Herbert joined Ricketts & Associates as Villa Manager and Personal Concierge in late 2008.  With a background in guests services.  Kenroy brings a wealth of experience from his previous positions in guest services.

As Villa Manager, he is instrumental in developing relationships with the top guests services agents in the travel industry, managing client and vendor relationships, as well as the continual overall development of Ricketts Luxury.  Kenroy also plays a unique role in creating personalized vacation experiences.

As an Anguillian native he believes that - to truly experience another culture you must live among the locals and become one of them.

Kenroy plays an active role in several local organizations with a focus on youth development, including the Masters Drum Core, British Dependancy, and the newly formed Helping Hand programme. 

Kenroy is an avid golfer, drummer, scuba diver and a great lover of speed.

Kewanah Richardson
General Manager ZaZAA Boutiques

Kewanah Richardson joined ZaZAA Boutique as General Manager in June 2010.  Kewanah is a trained customer service professional and has a wealth of experience in fashion. As the Boutique General Manager she is primarily responsible for bringing in fresh ideas to keep ZaZAA as unique and interesting as its name. Additionally, with Kewanah’s degree in Interior Design she has been instrumental in assisting and ensuring the design aspects of the intimate Anacaona Boutique Hotel.
